Thales UK Pension Scheme selects new investment consultant

Philip Cameron, Secretary of the Thales Pension Scheme, said “we are always looking to remain at the forefront of best practice in pension scheme governance.  As part of this, the Thales UK Pension Scheme recognised the importance of independent and specialist input when retendering our investment consultancy services.

We appointed IC Select as an independent specialist in this area.  Thier anlysis not only provided the necessary independent viewpoint, but also helped us to understand the differences between the investment consultants and enabled us to select the most appropriate firm for our needs.”

Most pension schemes now recognise that, when selecting their key advisers, they need to ensure they have the required competencies to achieve the necessary standards of governancefor their scheme.  As the selection of the investment adviser is done infrequently, it is difficult for any trustee board to develop the necessary competency.  IC Select provides the appropriate specialist support throughout the selection process to achieve the highest standards of due diligence.
